Rasmal Ventures and Strategic Gears Sign MoU to collaborate in building a Two-Way Bridge Between Saudi Arabia and Asia

The agreement opens Asian markets for Saudi companies and the Kingdom’s market for high-growth companies from across the Gulf-Asia corridor.

RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA, October 12, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Rasmal Ventures, Qatar’s first institutionally backed investment firm, trusted by sovereign wealth funds including the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Strategic Gears, an award-winning Saudi consulting firm, to help companies and investors move in both directions between Saudi Arabia and Asia. Under the agreement, Rasmal will open access to its Asian networks and markets for Strategic Gears and its clients, and Strategic Gears will do the same for Rasmal and its portfolio companies inside the Kingdom.

The partnership joins two complementary strengths. Rasmal has spent the past year building a live investment corridor into Asia, with companies backed across Hong Kong and South Korea and a network that reaches founders, co-investors and corporates across the region. Strategic Gears, founded in Riyadh in 2015 and now working across seven offices on three continents, sits at the centre of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 economy, advising government and private-sector clients on strategy and market access. “Saudi Arabia is the largest market in the Gulf and one of the most ambitious economies in the world right now, and Asia is where a growing share of global growth is being created,” said Soumaya Ben Beya Dridje, Partner at Rasmal Ventures. “What this agreement does is connect the two through the people who operate in each. We open the door to Asia for Saudi companies ready to expand, and Strategic Gears helps the companies we back land in the Kingdom with a credible partner on the ground.”

For Rasmal, the agreement extends a strategy the firm has pursued from the start: acting as the bridge between Gulf capital and the innovation and growth emerging across MENA, Türkiye and Asia. Saudi Arabia is the anchor market of the Gulf, and a structured route into it — through a firm with Strategic Gears’ depth of relationships — gives Rasmal’s portfolio companies a clearer path to the region’s largest pool of demand. In return, Saudi companies advised by Strategic Gears gain a managed channel into Asian markets that are often difficult to enter without a trusted local investor already established there.

For Strategic Gears, the MoU adds an international dimension to the expansion advice it gives Saudi organisations. “Our clients increasingly ask us not only how to grow at home, but how to reach the markets that will define the next decade — and Asia is at the top of that list,” said Nasser Alqahtani, Managing Partner at Strategic Gears. “Partnering with Rasmal gives us a genuine gateway into that region through an investor that is already active there, and it brings Rasmal’s portfolio into Saudi Arabia at a moment when the Kingdom is opening to exactly this kind of high-growth company. It is a natural fit — we each hold a door the other wants to walk through.”

Over the coming months the two firms will define specific programmes under the MoU — including introductions, joint market briefings and co-hosted engagements — with a focus on moving companies, capital and expertise across the Saudi-Asia corridor in both directions.
