Senator Graham Says Israel Outpaces US in Future Warfare Technology
“I like that idea. The wars of the future are being planned here in Israel. If you’re not one step ahead of the enemy, you suffer,” Graham said after meetings in Tel Aviv with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and opposition leader Yair Lapid. He described the Israel Defense Forces as the “most clever, creative military forces on the planet” and added, “Israel is advancing down the road of new weaponry far beyond us.”
The remarks come ahead of Omani-mediated US-Iran talks in Geneva, aimed at reducing heightened tensions in the Middle East. The US has deployed two aircraft carrier strike groups to the region to pressure Iran on its uranium enrichment program.
Iran has responded with live-fire drills and warnings that its military would target American bases if attacked. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said last week that Tehran is willing to provide assurances that its nuclear program is peaceful, while asserting that uranium enrichment for civilian purposes is its sovereign right.
Earlier, Israel and the US conducted airstrikes on Iranian nuclear and military sites in June 2025, prompting Iran to retaliate with missile attacks on Israel and a US base in Qatar.
